UPDATE: Garret Nybakken vs. Peter Neufeld finalizes the main card

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 4 Thumb down 5

  2. mike kent says:

Chase is taking a big step up but i give him huge props for doing so . Its not like alvey never gave the MFC champ a great hard fought battle so if chase wins he knows hes right around title contention. Chase is a great fighter and this is a big step up but also a huge opportunity . I hope he takes this one !

  5. Chadwick says:

Hicks vs McComb = most pointless fight in MFC history, Hicks is irrelevant and Mccomb lost to a hockey brawler..
What next, brother vs brother or maybe a amateur series teamed with the worst gym in Edmonton ?

  10. Oilcity30 says:

I think it’s cause PAV is finding it real hard to find fighters these days . I think he’s burned a lot of bridges and fighters just don’t respect his promotion anymore. 2 enexpierenced brothers fighting each other lmfao. Something you would expect from some low budget hillbilly promotion. PAV can’t keep decent fighters either. With such huge opiurtunity to be the best in Canada with your tv deals and sponsors MFC is gone down hill fast!

  11. RickyBobby says:

I think he has no choice but to use some edmonton fighters to sell tickets, but most of them have losing records.

I’m an MMA fan I go to most events if not all events. MFC main card 6 fights is still hands down the highest quality mma in edmonton. Oilcity it sounds like your bitter about something and maybe thats where your opinions come from. To me all this hate on the promoters doesnt make sense. I still watched boxing when Don King promoted.

Very valid point Ricky. For some reason this main card isn’t doing it for me.

  15. Town says:

I am sad to say this card doesn’t match up with AFC 20 it just doesn’t have a really kick to it.

I’m a fan of the sport but local guys getting beat up by top level out of towners just doesn’t seem to appealing.

Why is the Hammo vs Munroe rematch happening was lot a close fight the first time….also Hammo should be at 135 guys tiny.

  19. Chris Barnett is out due to medical reasons.

MFC HW Title fight and Main Event of MFC 37 between Smealinho Rama and Chris Barnett is off.

  20. Cody Rempel says:

I wonder who becomes the main event, I can’t see it being the Bantamweights as neither are big enough names!

Should be Maromo vs. Southern IMO but I could see it being Alvey/Silva just because of the name recognition!

  21. J.T says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were actually able to find a replacement, but the promoter felt it was financially cheaper to cancel rather than spend a lot of money to bring in a legit fighter. The average attending fan won’t find out there is no HW main event until after they’ve arrived

  22. Diggin says:

If this was any other promotion mark would be on here with a fake name busting the promotions balls and calling it amateur.

What goes around comes around mark

  23. Cody Rempel says:

Allen Hope vs. Paul Grandbois promoted to main card

  24. PUCK says:

Wow! That sure hurts this card! I can’t really see whos going to carry the main event?
