Whitlock to Face Tucker at ECC 15
According to promoter Peter Martell, Tucker was tentatively scheduled to face Jesse Gross on the card but when Gross was not looking to fight at 145 lbs, Lyndon Whitlock stepped up to the plate.
Whitlock is a well-rounded fighter out of Ontario who has primarily fought on the Score Fighting Series over the past year going 1-2 on the show. Whitlock’s last victory was over Corey Houston in a stunning knockout that was one of the best finishes of 2012. Whitlock is no stranger to facing maritimers having beaten Jason McKay and Jon Williams while losing to Justin Bourgeois.
Gavin has solely fought in the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in his career and has beaten everyone he has been matched against usually with his solid submission game. Whitlock will be the toughest opponent Tucker has faced to date.
Whitlock and Tucker join a solid ECC card that also features a pair of title fights. Mike Kent (8-1) will face Cody Krahn (11-6) in a Middleweight title fight, while Stephane Pelletier (6-1) is scheduled to face Syd Barnier (4-3) for the Bantamweight crown. If victorious, Tucker or Whitlock will put themselves in line for a Featherweight title shot later in 2012.

This is a sick fight . Lyndon is a tough fighter with a great resume and experience against tough guys but gavin is canadas best kept secret at 145 and his wrestling , submission, stand up is no joke , one of the most well rounded fighters ive seen in any gym !

I was looking forward to seeing how Tucker would do against Gross, but Lyndon is a solid replacement.
