Nick Ring Returns to Fight at UFC 158


Nick RingPrior to his last scheduled fight, Nick Ring became ill and doctors pulled him from Montreal’s UFC 154 card the day of his fight with Costa Philippou. Now, Ring will return to Quebec to fight Chris Camozzi at UFC 158 on March 16.

This fight was confirmed by UFC Canada’s Twitter which tweeted,

Winner of 3 straight, @ChrisCamozzi faces off against 13-1 Nick Ring (@Promise_RiiNG) in Montreal at #UFC158.Nick Ring will fight at UFC 158 in Montreal, Quebec.

Prior to UFC 154, Champion’s Creed MMA fighter Nick Ring defeated Court McGee at UFC 149 in Calgary.  Ring has gone 3-1 in the UFC, 13-1 in his career, and has become Canada’s top ranked Middleweight.

Camozzi (18-5) is on a three fight win streak in the UFC and has gone 5-2 in his UFC career.  His last win was over Luiz Cane and has wins over Nick Catone, Dustin Jacoby, and Joey Villaseñor.

Nick Ring joins fellow Albertan and occasional CMC training partner Jordan Mein on the UFC 158 card.

    I think Nick is catching somewhat of a break here. He’s lucky they didn’t save Costa for him. After seeing the beatdown he gave Boetsch, I’m afraid of what he would of done to the Promise!

    I think compared to Phillippou, Camozzi is a slightly more favourable fight for Nick! Still a tough fight though, there are no easy fights in the UFC!
