Young Gun Mein to Make UFC Debut Against Miller
Jordan Mein will be making his UFC debut in Montreal, Quebec at UFC 158. According to the Candian Press’ Neil Davidson, Mein will face Dan Miller on the March 16th card.
Lethbridge, Alberta’s Jordan Mein is a former Strikeforce fighter. With that promotion closing its doors, the UFC has decided to bring over ‘Young Gun’. Mein (26-8) is a Welterweight fighter on a two fight winning streak with his last win being a dominant performance over former UFC fighter Forrest Petz.
Dan Miller (14-6) has been fighting in the UFC since 2008. In his most recent UFC performance, Miller submitted Ricardo Funch in the third round. Miller has gone 6-5 in the octagon.
UFC 158 is becoming a Welterweight card with Canadian 170ers Rory MacDonald, Pat Cote, and George St-Pierre already announced to fight on the show.

Very happy for Jordan and Lee. Ask anyone involved with events and they will tell you that Lee is the best to work with in Canada. I couldn’t be happier that Jordan is finally where he belongs.
I love telling the story where I jokingly texted Lee asking if Jordan would fight Joe Riggs (on short notice) at Wreck. Sarcasm doesn’t come through texts, so Lee’s quick reply was ‘Sure’ and then the mad scramble begun to actually make it happen. I think we all knew Jordan was talented, but that fight left no doubt he was world class.

@Darren… Cote is dropping to Welterweight for this fight against Bobby Voelker
Gunner beat me to it… and I’m pretty sure Jordan would fight just about anyone you asked him to!

It has the potential to be the best UFC card to date!!
I don’t think Dan miller is an easy fight at all Jamie , he’s got talent and he’s fought in the UFC for years. Kick sum ass young gun
Can’t wait for the UFC to see what a mistake it was not putting him there sooner!

Great for Jordan! tough fight but Jordan’s been taking fights since he was 16, not many guys more deserving than him to be in the UFC!
that is he’s been taking tough fights since he was 16, he’s earned his UFC spot by continually taking on the best competition around, huge respect for Jordan
