UPDATE: Bobby Voelker replaces Alessio Sakara against Patrick Cote
UPDATE: Added Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller… could we see an all Welterweight main card?
6 of the Top 10 ranked Welterweights in the world are on this card! Just need Fitch, Koscheck and Kampmann! Askren is the only non Zuffa Top Ten and I don’t see him coming to the UFC anytime soon!
UPDATE: Added John Makdessi vs. Daron Cruickshank
Hmmm… Wait a minute, this sounds like the start of a Welterweight tournament!!
Could it be the UFC is on to something??
Na, just the start of another great card, let’s hope it makes it to the end!!
UPDATE: Added Nick Ring vs. Chris Camozzi
UPDATE: Added Sean Pierson vs. Rick Story and Yves Jabouin vs. Johnny Eduardo
Added: Mitch Gagnon (9-2) vs Issei Tamura (7-3)
UPDATE: Added Antonio Carvalho vs. Darren Elkins
I’m taking Makdessi vs. Cruickshank for FOTN, Hendricks for KO and after looking through the guys on this card there aren’t a lot of candidates for Submission so I’ll go with Mein on that one!
This card is going to be action packed, a lot of heavy hitters and exciting strikers! I can’t wait, it’s gonna be insane!
UPDATE: Quinn Mulhern replaces injured Sean Pierson against Rick Story
Damn this is an awesome card!
UPDATE: Full broadcast schedule announced
First card in a while where I want to see every fight on the card and expect it to eb awesome.
Random Fact: This will be the 14th different city Rory MacDonald has fought in… the only city he’s fought in more than once is Prince George (3 times)
Prince George BC, Lethbridge AB, Vernon BC, Moncton NB, Calgary AB, Nanaimo BC, Edmonton AB, Fairfax VA, Vancouver BC, Toronto ON, Philadelphia PA, Atlanta GA, Seattle WA and now Montreal QC… as you may be able to tell I’m very bored at work today! haha
HAHA, cool stat! Good work Cody.
Dammit Rory, why you gotta be injured bro.
On the other hand Condit vs Hendricks is a great fight too.
UPDATE: Rory MacDonald out due to neck injury, Johny Hendricks moves up to co-main event to take on Carlos Condit, Jake Ellenberger awaits replacement… I’m hearing Tyron Woodley could be the man to step in against Ellenberger.
Added Nate Marquardt to face Ellenberger and Dillashaw to take on Tamura.
WHAT HAPPENED TO GAGNON ?
UPDATE: Added George Roop vs. Reuben Duran
UPDATE: Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller promoted from Facebook prelims to FX/Sportsnet prelims.
I’d prefer to watch any of the sportsnet fights on the ppv over Ring vs Camozzi.
Fantastic card, I’m pumped. I’ll be watching all of them so it really doesn’t matter I suppose.
All of the top 5 welterweights will be fighting on the same card making this one of he most anticipated fight cards of the year.
I think Demian Maia is a top 5 Welterweight.
I think if Rory didn’t get hurt its top 5 welterweights in UFC for sure.
UPDATE: Johnny Eduardo out due to injury, unclear if a replacement will be sought for Jabouin with the event only 10 days away
Josh Hill should get in touch with ufc.
Hot debate. What do you think?
