Pavelich grow up. Take this while you can because this bad luck afc just went through is the only reason your show has a chance to be number 2 in Canada. Behind the score obviously.

When AFC puts on cards where Injuries dont take over you guys are clear cut number 3. you don’t have a chance at competing with afc or the score.

Now make sure you use all your accounts and thumbs down this, classless joke

7 fights hahahahahaha what a joke and a fucking ripoff if anyone pays for that.35 of us will not be paying for afc anymore.months and months and months to get more then 7 or 8 nights..Now you wonder why mma is losing the buzz it once had..When water downed cards pop up don’t worry *pav* this is for you also. You promoter guys spend more time bitching like school girls that just got your cherries popped.Just worry about putting excellent cards together then maybe you will sell out again

  9. Ryan W. says:

He’s not wrong trev. I’m sure that it will be a great card, and still is a great card. But putting two top draws on a card 3 weeks earlier and then expecting them to fight on this card was retarded. Much respect to Darren and the guys, and granted I’m not a promoter. But if I bought tickets expecting to see Grove and Alessio I’d be pretty upset ( I was actually thinking about flying out to go to this card), Its an unfortunate part of the game I guess.

I have no problem paying for 7 fights like that. It’s still a pretty good looking card regardless of all the fights that aren’t going to happen.

  12. Darren Owen says:

Technically there are 8 fights. Just because 1 fight is amateur doesn’t mean it’s not a fight. The last Victoria event the first amateur fight was my vote for FOTN. The fights on this card are exceptional, it will be a very entertaining night of great fights.

  15. There’s a lot of shit talk about how little fights are on this card but how many of these comments are coming from promoters? I’ve promoted two shows and was a match maker for three ECC shows and trust me, that shit is a fucking nightmare. Injuries happen, medical issues happen and much more all at the drop of a dime and all you can do is scramble to not lose the entire card and/or shirt in the process. I wouldn’t wish that job on my worst enemy.

I think this card is going to be great and am looking forward to watching.

  25. I got a hold of Victor at 3:30 Central time and he said he is “Good to Go.”

This is a good card and I will be watching it.

Two good top 20 Canadian Lightweights fighting for a LW title.
Two ex-UFC LHWs battling it out – one at top 10 Canadian.
A top 10 Featherweight returning from a year off and a sub loss.
and scouting out a rising MW prospect in KB Bhullar.

If you stop thinking about what could’ve been and just look at what is there, you will see a very good card.

The fight wasn’t actually called off by the Doctor until just prior to the event, as of the time of the comments we had confirmation from the promotion and Victor himself that he was still fighting!

  31. AMLEHTC says:

Do you actually think he had any intention of fighting? When he’s skulking around and telling everyone he felt like shit and spent the night before at the hospital you think he wanted to fight. Give your head a shake

  33. E-town MMA says:

Maybe Tim Hauge & Victor Valimaki should hang up the gloves as the old school training & fighting ways just dont work in todays world of MMA.

Respect for both guys however the game has evolved unlike their game.
