The UFC will make their return to Brazil for the fifth time in 17 months and the card will have a little bot of Canadian content when Nova Scotia’s Roger “The Hulk” Hollett takes on Brazil’s Wagner Prado in a Light Heavyweight contest.  A city and venue is still yet to be determined.

Hollett will look to erase the memory of a tough defeat to Matt Hamill at UFC 152 in Toronto.  Prior to his UFC debut, Hollett was in the midst of a 5 fight win streak including wins over John Hawk under the Bellator banner as well as TKO victory over former Top Ten ranked Martin Desilets. The former MFC Light Heavyweight also holds notable victories over Aaron Lofton, Ricardeau Francois and Victor Valimaki, whom he defeated the capture the MFC Title.

Prado is coming off a pair of bouts against Phil Davis, the first of which ended in a no contest after Prado was poked in the eye and was unable to continue. In the rematch, Davis submitted Prado by Anaconda choke in the second round. Prado, a member of Team Nogueira, is undefeated outside of the UFC and has finished 7 of his 8 victories by some form of knockout.

I agree with the majority on this one. Prado is a skilled puncher, Hollett is nothing more than beach muscles. This will be his last fight in the UFC

Interesting fight. Looks like Joe Silva isn’t the only one who thinks Roger has an underrated ground game. I agree on paper this looks like a win for Prado but you never want to count Roger out too early.

I won’t make a prediction but I’ll watch this fight.
