  3. Truth says:

So, Buckland and Powell both missed weight but are close enough that the commission allowed it? Fines?

  4. Idolmaker says:

Great work by the pros who made weight! All the Ammys made weight as well, nice work! 10,5 lbs, disgraceful

  5. Robin Black says:

10.5 is so disgraceful its absurd.

If a guy is 10 pounds off and refuses to try to cut more weight he should be suspended or banned.

    Sickening.

  6. 10.5 pounds off reeks of a guy who was scared and was not really prepared to return to the cage to fight following a scary head kick loss to Mike O’Neill.

  7. Joe Doerksen says:

I’m assuming Buckland vs Powell is a catchweight. Can anyone confirm?

“Noah Ali vs. Jesse Arnett is off, Arnett came in 10.5lbs overweight and declined to cut an additional 3lbs”

HOLY SHIT! I feel bad for Noah Ali, he seemed to have strong fan support when I saw him fight at AFC and was an exciting fighter.

Arnett should be embarassed, utterly shameful!

  11. Don't Call Me Leon says:

Guess this means Jesse Arnett won’t be back in the AFC fold anytime soon, goodluck on your future adventures is weight loss and weight cutting!

  12. Murray says:

Did Arnett know what weight he was fighting at? He looks right on for 145. But declining to cut 3.5 pounds is just embarrassing and shows he’s only fighting so he can tell people he a ‘UFC’ fighter. Seriously, 3.5 pounds is nothing more than a few hours in the sauna and healthy number two

    I kinda had a feeling.

Powell is a consummate pro. It seemed odd for him to miss.

He’d be the last guy to miss weight.

Hopefully he got 20% for Buckland’s lack of professionalism.

My good god….go back to wrestling Arnett…10.5 pounds over, and what makes it worse is just 3 more pounds you said no.
And people make fun of Veltri, at least he makes it into the cage
Keith Grienke hit the nail on the head. Guy’s not mentally prepared yet to get back in there, and was looking for a out

  22. Mma insider says:

As of 2 pm on Friday Jesse Arnett was 4 lbs over. During his weight cut he had a medical issue and was hospitalized.

Before people jump on a guy, find out what happened.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 3 Thumb down 5

  24. Bobby Karimi says:

Thanks for the tidbit of “insider” info MMA insider. Maybe that guy shouldn’t have tried to cut that much weight then if he couldn’t do it. Instead he comes off as a fake ass Anthony Johnson clone vs Vitor Belfort.

  25. G.O says:

ok I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt there but he obviously re-hydrated up 10.5 pounds so i’m sure he could of cut a small 3 pounds.
