Tyson Steele is both a great fight and person. I’m very glad that he is starting to get the recognition he deserves.

MMAPolice – so Tyson has 1 loss to go with his 8 first round finishes, big deal, most every champion in this sport has at least one loss on their record just the same as every person has had at least one bad day at work. It didn’t help though that he had to put a lot of energy into trying to keep his shorts from falling off while defending submissions…free shorts that he got for being on the televised main card…Wow what a big sponsorship opportunity that was lmao not quiet as big as what was promised.

  4. Graham Weenk says:

If i recall that event Tyson had his one loss in was the one with $5000 sponsorship promises, that turned into $300, and garbage shorts that kept falling off.

    Who was the sponsor???

  6. We were banned from the show, so we don’t have a pic. You can see Tyson fighting off the Demarce Guillotine while pulling up his pants in this photo:

Kind of sad you didn’t ask Orest about the time he was both a sitting commission member and an active participant in KOTC.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 5 Thumb down 8

  8. Steele never should have accepted the sponsorship from the Demarce Clothing Systems.

Great interview with Orest , a true pioneer of Canadian Mma .
Looks like Fivestar is making some serious moves .

  10. Bobby Karimi says:

Orest ended with the commish dec 31 2009 and started with KOTC Canada in march of 2010

Orest is a solid guy, please stop with the slander and misinformation

I wish Orest all the best with five star !

  11. Donald Duck says:

That’s fine Bobby but his name was still appearing on the ECSC list while he was working with KOTC. Ken already stated that he was told Orest was done with the commission and frankly I believe him (he wouldn’t have directly benefited from it either way). My question was more if Orest had any insights into why the ECSC was still listing him after he left.

This isn’t a slander on anyone but rather another item that can be added to poor house keeping and the such at ECSC.

We need to be less sensitive when we question each other about the sport. Not everything is a personal attack.

PS – I have met and talked with Orest and he seemed like a nice enough guy. No specific vendetta or ax to grind on this Duck’s part.

Well man the first post doesn’t really come off like that,

Thanks to both Tyson and Orest for being great guests on the show!

Great interview with Tyson! thanks to big win and bobby for addressing the problem we have here at alliance of no promoters getting my guys fights… hopefully this will light a fire under a few promoters to step up.

  14. Donald Duck says:

(-: My bad, I’ll put happy faces around all posts when I mean them to be read as positive and frowny faces when I’m being a jerk. :-)

    Does that help?

  15. Graham Weenk says:

PS Daniel Marks last fight was a 1min 41s RNC win over Magged Hammo in Bully Fight night in Lethbridge march 30… another case of Alliance fighter taking out local fan favorite and then not able to find another fight.

  16. MMA Mogul says:

Orest is a stand up guy , good to see him break free of KOTC.
Anyone that has anything bad to say about him clearly has never dealt with him on any professional level

    Yes helps a lot :)

All the alliance guys are ultra tough and well trained. Tough fighters often can’t find fights easily.
