The UFC has officially announced the cast of this season’s The Ultimate Fighter Fridays show and two Canadians have made the list.
Mike Ricci, out of Tristar MMA, and Mike Hill, out of Toshido, both are listed on the field of 32.

Both Canadians will need to fight their way into the house as the premiere episode on September 14 will be two hours of elimination fights. The season will run for 13 weeks before the winner is crowned at The Ultimate Fighter Finale on December 15th. The two coaches, former UFC interim Heavyweight champion Shane Carwin and TUF champion Roy Nelson, will also fight on the finale.

UFC president Dana White commented on the Carwin/Nelson fight, “Carwin and Nelson are two guys who just can’t stand each other and Roy and I haven’t exactly seen eye to eye either – he’s been a nightmare for me to work with on this show with all his stupid BS.”

Mike Ricci (7-2) trains under Firas Zahabi at Tristar MMA in Montreal. He last fought against Tony Hervey at Ringside 13 where he won by Unanimous Decision. Prior to that fight, Ricci lost a Ringside Lightweight title fight to Daron Cruickshank, who went on to compete at The Ultimate Fighter Live last year. Ricci, ranked 7th out of Canadian Lightweights, also competed in a Bellator Lightweight tournament where he lost to eventual winner Pat Curran. Ricci is moving up a weight division to fight in The Ultimate Fighter.

My only memory of Mike Ricci is Pat Curran viciously k.oing him, lost alot of hype after that
