Kaufman to Face Young at Invicta 3

Sarah Kaufman

Invicta FC has added former Strikeforce Bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman (15-2) to their October 6th card. The Victoria, British Columbia fighter will take on Kaitlin Young at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Missouri, as announced by Invicta FC.

It will be Kaufman’s return to the cage following a quick submission loss to Ronda Rousey in Strikeforce in August. Kaufman was on a three fight win streak before losing to Rousey in the Strikeforce Bantamweight championship fight.

Kaitlin Young (7-6) has only won once in her three fights in 2012 with that win coming against Canada’s Anna Barone. In her last outing, Young was beaten by Liz Carmouche at Invicta 2. Carmouche is a fighter that Kaufman has defeated by Unanimous Decision.

Kaufman joins fellow Canadian Julia Budd on the Invicta 3 card.
