Fivestar Announces Prince George Show



Hot on the heels of the announcement of their Inaugural Fivestar Fight League event, Fivestar Athletics is proud to announce the second event on October 19, 2012 in Prince George, British Columbia.

Named “Origins” to reflect the early beginnings of what Fivestar Athletics plans on being a long-standing tradition in the MMA Industry, Fivestar Fight Leagues origins are happening right now. This will be the first card solely handled by Fivestar Fight League, and the tradition will be continued for years to come. Fivestar’s Orest Zmyndak explains his excitement for a show in Prince George:

“We are bringing one of the most competitive cards ever to British Columbia, and it’s been years since Prince George has had a live MMA event let alone one of this caliber. With a mix of big names and local talent we’re bringing a great event to a city and sponsors that are as excited as we are”.

The Card will include undefeated middleweight, Jordan Beecroft who is well sought after around the world against Brad Stewart one of the toughest middleweights in Canada. Former Canadian champion Ryan Chiappe takes on veteran Shannon “The Cannon” Ritch, fresh off winning the NAGA tournament, Rage in the Cage Middleweight Title and a World title in Mexico. Canadian titleholder in our competitor’s organization, Chad Freeman has moved over to Fivestar Fight League and takes on highly regarded Aaron Armstrong of Calgary. The rest of the card showcases many local Prince George fighters that fans will embrace, Richie Sai-Appiah 3-0, Dave Mclennan 1-1, Hank Lukyn 2-0, J.J. Daoust 2-1, Travis Matthews 1-0, Jason Townsend 0-1, Brandon Budd 1-0 and the debuting Daniel Martichuk. The full fight card will be posted on when match-ups are finalized. Fivestar Fight League has shown early success with their Inaugural event scheduled for September 15th, 2012. Fivestar Athletics, fans, sponsors, fighters and media are looking at this second event as a major stepping-stone to move to the largest markets in Canada and North America and the possibility of a National television deal.     Every new promotion always says “were gonna get a TV deal” BULL$HIT! MFC and the score fighting series are canadas only cards besides Belator coming here with tv deals. Real deals not we will show your fight once 6mth later on fightnetwork. For such a bigtime company why have shows an alaska and rundown PG.
