Bocek meets Dos Anjos at UFC 154

Mark Bocek (11-4) returns to the Octagon at UFC 154 in Montreal where he’ll meet Rafael Dos Anjos (17-6). UFC marks the UFC’s first return to Montreal since December 2010 when GSP jabbed Josh Koschecks orbital bone into oblivion.

Bocek, Canada’s number 1 ranked Lightweight, will ride a 2 fight win streak into the cage as he earned unanimous decision victories over Nik Lentz and Canada’s 5th ranked 155er John Alessio. Bocek fought on the UFC’s last trip to Montreal where he defeated Dustin Hazelett by triangle in round 1. With a 7-4 record inside the UFC’s Octagon, Bocek’s loses have been to some of the best Lightweights in the world including Benson Henderson, Frank Edgar and Jim Miller.

Dos Anjos will also bring a 2 fight win streak into the cage with him as he most recently defeated Anthony Njokuani and Kamal Shalorus. A member of the Gordo-Evolve fight team Dos Anjos has amassed a 6-4 record while fighting in the UFC’s cage with other notable wins over George Sotiropoulos and Terry Etim.

UFC 154 returns to Montreal, Quebec on November 14th at the Bell Centre. The card will hopefully be main evented by the return of Georges St Pierre who will look to unify the Welterweight titles when he meets interim champion Carlos Condit. Other Canadians on the card include Mark Hominick who will look to rebound against Pablo Garza and Antonio Carvalho who will look to continue his winning ways against Rodrigo Damm.
