MMA Inspirations/Mentor/Idol: Inspirations are all the guys that I learn from and train with everyday . The amount of time and energy that our coaches put into us is amazing and it’s inspiring to watch my team’s dedication to their own careers and success.
First Martial Arts Memory: Walking into a gym for the first time weighing 270 and thinking I was the toughest guy in the world. After skipping for five minutes and hitting thai pads for a round, I realized just how wrong I was. lol
First MMA Memory: Watching Chuck and Randy’s first fight in admiration and thinking one day I would love to try that.
Greatest MMA Moment to Date: Winning my first fight. I will never forget just how amazing of a feeling it was and how overwhelming it was and for a minute you think you’re the greatest fighter of all time …. Then you look around and realize 700 people saw it and your only in Moncton, N.B. lol
Closest MMA Friends: JANA ROGERS, then Ricky goodall, Mike Malott, Gavin Tucker, Roger Hollett, Nathan Hamilton , Aaron Myers , and, of course, coaches Peter Martell, Peter Magrath, and Rob Walker.
Funniest MMA Fighter that You Know: Roger Hollett
Toughest MMA Competitors Encountered: I still think that my first fight against Adam Hunter was my toughest test and he seemed the most well rounded. It was a back and forth battle and he gave me a run for my money. We were both 0-0 at the time and he’s only fought once since then so will have to wait and see ,but I think he was probably my most technical opponent so far.
Most Memorable Finish: After me and Alderic Keith fought to a decision in our first fight, we rematched and I got the first round KO .
Serious Injuries: Pretty bad concussion once and lots of broken right hands.
Cage or Ring: I like both for different reasons but I think I have had my best performances in a ring.
Embarrassing MMA Memory: Weighing in with just a towel covering me after cutting 19 pounds …. Umm is it cold in here ? I was in the pool :)
Funny MMA Memory: Needing to take a #2 right before my fight. My coach Peter Martell asked me what was wrong and I said I needed the bathroom. By that time my walk out music had already started playing. Peter made them stop everything and run into the back and use the bathroom. They announced over the speakers that I was in the bathroom and would be out shortly. Pretty funny!
Favorite MMA Move (finish/strike): Nothing like seeing a great headkick KO
Favorite Sport Outside of MMA: Football
Favorite Food: You would never be able to tell by my chiseled physique, but I love sweets and pastries and pretty much anything else that isn’t good for you.
