Clements to Face Bahadurzada at UFC Calgary

Top MMA News has confirmed with Chris “The Menace” Clements that he will appear on the UFC Calgary card on July 21.

Chris Clements (11-4) will replace the injured Thiago Alves in a bout with Siyar Bahadurzada (21-4-1). Clements is on a five fight win streak with his most recent win coming in his UFC debut. In that fight, Clements won a split decision over Keith Wisniewski at UFC 145.

Clements’ opponent, Siyar Bahadurzada, will be on a seven fight win streak entering the bout. Siyar won his debut UFC bout against Paulo Thiago this April by an impressive KO.

Clements had the following to say about his upcoming UFC 149 fight, “It is a great fight for the fans. Somebody is going to sleep!”

Clements joins a long list of Canadians on the card including Claude Patrick, Ryan Jimmo, Mitch Gagnon, Nick Ring, Antonio Carvalho, Roland Delorme, and Mitch Clarke.

    Very tough fight for Clements. Siyar is tough. If Clements pulls this off he’ll move up the rankings big time.
