Penner Meets DeBlass at UFC on Fuel TV 4

Nick Penner’s next shot at a UFC victory comes July 11th when the Octagon travels to San Jose for UFC on Fuel TV 4. Penner is set to take on fellow Light Heavyweight Tom DeBlass. The bout is likely to take place on the evenings preliminary card which is expected to stream live on Facebook.

Penner made his UFC debut at UFC on FX 2 in Australia where he suffered a late first round TKO loss to Anthony Perosh. Prior to the loss, Penner won 8 in a row and 11 of his first twelve fights. Penner holds notable victories over Tim Chemelli, Ryan Fortin and Eric “Butterbean” Esch. The #7 ranked Light Heavyweight in Canada will look to improve on his ranking with a victory over DeBlass.

DeBlass also suffered a loss in his promotional debut, losing a majority decision to Cyrille Diabate at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Sweden. Prior to that loss, DeBlass was undefeated in regional competition, with all of his bouts coming under the Ring of Combat banner. DeBlass’ biggest win to date comes at the expense of UFC veteran Sean Salmon.
