This is a serious topic!!! LOL

I dont understand how the Brown fight was score 29-27. There was no pt deduction so how could there have been a 9-9 rd (thats what it was scored I’m guessing)

  5. Big Win says:

Bobby my guess is they scored it 10-9, 9-10, 10-8, that’s the only way I could see a 29-28.

I believe judges can also give 9-9’s when they feel it was even, and none of the fighters did enough to win

Maybe I’m very wrong, but that’s what I’ve heard on a few occasions.

  17. Bobby Karimi says:

Keith is a command cert guy, he’d know. Can judges give a 9-9?

    I thought it’s 10 pt must

  18. Idolmaker says:

9-9 if someone wins a round and had a point taken away?

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

  19. It is 10 point must. 10-10 is allowed. You can’t give 9-9.

Ah, thanks Keith. Sorry about that misinformation guys.

  21. Don't Call Me Leon says:

Personally I think the judges scorecards were wrong on a number of fights! Like Alessio vs Bocek should have been split decision, Hominick vs Yagin should have been unanimous and just to stir it up Evans vs Jones could have been 49-46? I know judging is subjective and we all have opinions but there seems to be no consistency or unified format like the unified rules!

  22. @Idolmaker…judges turn in a 10-9 card and official scorer takes the point away to get 9-9. I remember because Big John scolded me for deducting the point on my card during class.

Anyone ever got the UFC.com online PPV feed before?

I ordered if for the first time for UFC 145 and thought it was just fantastic. That’s how I’ll be getting it from now on.

I was thinking about trying the X-Box live dealy out. Is the UFC.com similar to what they offer on there?

  25. Bobby Karimi says:

I dunno what XBOX offers. But on UFC.com I paid $49.99 for PPV card and $1.99 for Prelims (My TV is in for repair, but regardless from now on will pay $1.99 for the prelims, worth it).

I get 5 cameras (English/Spanish, Cam 3, Overhead, Red Corner, and Blue Corner).
You can also do Picture in Picture and QUADVIEW.
Quadview was awesome, 4 simultaneous camera feeds going at the same time, super cool.
Any major action points get kinda tagged on the progress meter thingy and so it’s easy to jump back to moments of interest, and you can also scroll back anytime or quick load any fight that’s already happened.
Also get to judge fights and see what others scored it and a few other features.

In HD, stream was super smooth!

    Thought it was awesome!!!
