Eric Wolaniuk is in Victoria for the fights tonight. Whether you call them, Armageddon Fighting Championship or Aggression Fighting Championship, the results of the fights will be posted here. By the way, you can also watch tonight’s fights live on Internet PPV for under $10 at Internet PPV at http://www.gfl.tv/Events/Fight/MMA/AFC_8/1358/?refCode=GFLA82.

Pro MMA
Diego Wilson defeats Corey Gower by TKO in Round 2, 1:27
Adam Smith defeats Karel Bergen by Split Decision (29-28 x 2, 27-30)

Bruno Capdeville defeats Nick Driedger by TKO (Doctor Stoppage/Cut) in Round 1, 2:24
* Note * Capdeville towered over Driedger and he fed Driedger a steady diet of lefts that opened a cut. Driedger just could not get inside Capdeville’s longer range.

Advin Omic submits Marcus Vinicios by Arm Bar in Round 2, 4:42
* Note * Omic dropped Vinicios in the first and had to survive a tight omoplata attempt by Marcus. In the second, Omic had Vinicios tied up in knots. Marcus would not tap until his arm hyper-extended.

Ryan Janes submits Marcus Hicks by Rear Naked Choke in Round 2, 2:04
* Note * Janes dominates Hicks. Surprised Hicks made it out of the first. Janes has a nasty Thai clinch and looks very good.

Nathan Swayze defeats Derek Mrak by Split Decision (29-28, 30-27, 28-29)
* Note * Close fight. Had Mrak taking round 1 and Swayze winning the last two.

Dajan Kajic defeats Ash Mashreghi by Split Decision (29-28 x 2, 27-30)
* Note * Exciting back and forth fight. Not sure how one judge had it 30-27 for Mashreghi. Top MMA News had it 29-28 Kajic with Mashreghi only earning the third round.

Amateur MMA
Alexi Argyriou defeats Guy Gauthier by TKO (GNP from Mount) in Round 1, 1:07
* Note * Takedown, flip to side, mount, TKO. Alexi looks to be something special. Believe the hype.

Bronson Peterson defeats Chris Anderson by TKO (Punch) in Round 1, 1:17
* Note * Right dropped Anderson. Ref jumped in a little quick. It is amateur so maybe they have quicker stoppages.

Dustin Joynson defeats Dylan Moore by TKO (Standing Strikes) in Round 3, 1:51
* Note * Joynson dominated the fight. 10-8 first round.

Dillon Brown submits Brandon Shorter by Rear Naked Choke in Round 3, 1:30
Dee Obaro defeats Josh Williams by TKO in Round 3, 2:01

Thought all the fights where great. Total respect for those warriors that go in there and bang win or lose! How can you criticize those that put everything on the line for all to witness.Props BOYS keep stepping up where 99 percent of us don’t have the balls too….

“warriors” go and risk life and limb..

sorry but mma bouts dont really qualify in my humble opinion

that isnt a real cage… mayb the 99 percent should visit one

my problem isnt with the fighters its more with the armchair quarterbacks who rock the gear, tattoos and hairstyles but are sheepish cowards eating wings drinking draft and watching screens while thinking they have great mma “knowledge”

    keep watching

I think we need more of these fans.

So does Gordy think everyone who enjoys, loves and watches mma should be a fighter? I don’t really understand your last post? Fighters are not wariors, 99 percent? What are you saying?

just saying i dont really like steriotypical mma fans.

come to think of it i dont really like hockey fans either.

i personally feel the “fighter” culture and sport has been oversaturated due to shows like ultimate fighter etc…

watching a scripted reality show i think misleads little…

also im not a big advocate of people who think by watching a screen they are somehow participating…

    i miss boxing…

maybe its because in proffessional boxing the purses are/were bigger? while mma guys need to rely more on sponsors, endorsments advertisments, seminars etc…?

i remain confused by the same people who advocate watching others commit violence in the ring / cage are so scared of it in real life despite rocking their tapout gear and local mma club shirt
