So do we get a piece of the retirement cage?? And first round loss to a guy that basically weighed in a full weight class below you.

I think your decision to retire is supported since you obviously do not have what it takes to actually TRAIN

Was there some sort of controversy over the finish or how the fight played out?
Not sure i have ever heard of a rematch being granted or justified due to “cardio issues”?

Yes Chris did ask for rematch he didnt give me any excuses hes not sour over the loss he just wants to train harder and try again so I have no problem with giving him the opportunity the rematch will likely be in june so hes plenty of time to put in the work and enter the cage as a completely new fighter hes got the heart and isnt scared to bring the fight just needs to sharpen up

Rematch?!? That would be the MMA equivalent of a “do over”. You don’t get a rematch because you didn’t get it right the first time.

  8. Cody says:

There shouldn’t be a rematch. That’s just another win for obrien to get his record up, beat the guy you already beaten

  9. slim says:

I’m agreeing with Donnie D and Cody. There wasn’t any controversy on this fight to warrant a rematch. Chris said he was in good shape and ready for this fight…then claims he lost because he gassed in the first. That’s right you’re training hard and ready to fight, but you gassed out in the first round. Not to mention Chris outweighed Tyler by something like 10 pounds at weigh-ins and STILL lost.

The only reason this was the “best pro fight of the night” as Sean said earlier, was because the other two fights were so badly matched that the losers were quite literally there for the paychecks.

Bottom line: If you want a rematch, earn it by actually winning a fight.
