BFL 13 Weigh-In Results
The Battlefield Fight League is heading back up to Vernon, British Columbia for its 13th event. If you are in town, why not pick up some ducats here (Buy Tickets). If you are out of town, you will get all your results from Top MMA News.
At the weigh-ins, there was some odd weigh-in numbers. No one came over the limit, but many feel that was due to the scale being 4-5 lbs off. Maybe the Vernon Commission should purchase a new scale or at least get theirs calibrated. Check out the following weigh-in numbers to see for yourself:
Main Event:
Matt Baker (180) vs. Andrew Buckland (176)
***Middleweight Title Fight
Graham Spencer (139) vs. Shawn Albrecht (141)
***Featherweight Title Fight
Micah Brakefield (180) vs. Ryan Allen (181)
***Amateur Middleweight Title Fight
Matt Dwyer (167.5) vs. Mark Dobie (166)
Cory Tosoff (184) vs. Jordan Beecroft (175)
Dan Lin (130.5) vs. Gary Mangat (133.5)
Marcus Aurelio (169.5) vs. Richard Jodoin (167)
Daniel Swain (144) vs. Russel Davis (141.5)

Any comments from the commission?
They have not gotten back to me.
pretty strange scale issues… Should be some good fights though.
I dont understand why buckland a 170lber is fight for the 185title in his first fight in Bfl. I like buckland and hes slick, but I think Bakers size will be the difference although Bucklands got good ground skills. Want buckland think Cupcake maker Baker wins. Graham Spencer I think will be dominant. Ive never heard of any one else really,Mangat seems like a good kid, hope he wins. laclustre card even for these guys. did they lose fights or something Jamie? Btw one of my easiest cuts was in Vernon, the wonky scale would explain it,lol
If the scale is showing 4-5 lbs light there are several very lucky fighters. There’s more than a few guys that are barely under the limits even with a messed up scale.
