UFC 145 in Montreal Postponed

UFC 145 has been cancelled, according the Canadian Press‘ Neil Davidson. The March 24th show was scheduled for the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Citing lack of a ‘championship-calibre card’, the UFC’s director of Canadian operations, Tom Wright suggested that the UFC will try to return to Montreal later in 2012.

Several fighters, including Canadians Mark Hominick, Rory MacDonald, John Makdessi, Mark Bocek and Chris Clements, had fights already announced for UFC 145. Expect their bouts to be moved to other shows.

To bad. I thought the card was shaping up nicely. Just needed a good main event, but I guess that is where they fell short.
