The Ultimate Fighter 14 – Episode 7 Recap

Last week, TJ Dillashaw moved forward. Semi-finals start tonight.

Three cliques are developing in the house. Bible study group, casino group, and the rest of the group.

Guys are getting bored and Corassini decides to shake things up by shaving Bryan Caraway’s head while he is sleeping. Caraway starts baracading his room now when they sleep.

Miller drives in with a bike because he hears Tiki has a gag planned for his car. Nothing happens to the car, but Bisping does fire off the fire extinguisher and get a Mexican mariachi band to play their instruments in the ensuing mayhem.

Bedford says Bisping is just “an asshole.” Bisping’s team can’t practise as a result of his prank.

Team Bisping is working with Akira starting on his back working on getting back to his feet as his opponent, Dennis Bermudez, is a wrestler who will put him on his back. Turns out, Akiri was born and raised in Sweden. After practise, Marcus puts his sweaty jock in Bisping’s face. Bisping, in turn, puts them on Corassini.

Bermudez says he is coming into the cage to hurt Corassini. Siyar Bahadurzada works with Dennis to prepare for Akira Corassini.

Pre-fight, most, including Dana White, seem to think that Bermudez has way too much for Corassini. Akira does have a big reach advantage.

Dennis Bermudez vs Akira Corassini
R1. Akira hurts Bermudez with a left hook right at the start. Bermudez also eats a right to the chin. Bermudez works to take him down but is stuffed and they exchange knees. Bermudez clinches up but eats one when they break. Bermudez dives for a takedown but gets rocked again. Akira hurts him but Bermudez returns with a combo. Akira drops him with a left and jumps in but Bermudez grabs a single, picks up Corassini, and slams him. Guillotine attempt by Bermudez and Corassini taps out.

I’m pretty glad Bermudez won that one. I am sure we’ll still see Akira on the finale card though.

  2. Sideshow says:

So for the second time in as many fights, Akira tapped, for someone who talks a lot of trash he sure quits a lot.

Akira is the shittiest actor on earth “Huh? Where am I? Is the fight over?”
You tapped beyotch. And was it me or did it look like he kinda half-tapped earlier in the hold?

  4. Jamie Locke says:

I thought I saw him tap earlier than the stoppage tap as well….

  5. L-Boutin says:

2 fights for Akira and 2 fake taps.

Karma’s a bitch, next time someone catches Akira in a heel hook and tears his knee apart, he only has himself to blame.

Great to see him lose last night. Hope he gets smoked in the finale too. Cheater’s like him don’t belong in the big show.

  6. L-Boutin says:

I think Brandao will beat Caraway in the other Semi-final. Then hopefully Caraway gets a little revenge on Akira in the finale.
