TJ Grant – Second Canadian Booked for UFC 141


The UFC announced another UFC 141 bout today – TJ Grant (17-5) vs Jacob Volkmann (13-2). TJ Grant will join Sean Pierson as the second Canadian on the card, which is being held on a Friday in Las Vegas.

Grant comes into the bout with a dominant victory over Shane Roller in his Lightweight debut for the UFC. The Halifax native has a 4-3 record in the UFC will be looking to get his first string of consecutive wins under Zuffa.

Volkmann is undefeated as a Lightweight. He entered the UFC and immediately lost his first two Welterweight bouts. Like Grant, Volkmann then dropped to 155 where he has run off four straight victories over Rony Torres, Paul Kelly, MFC champion Antonio McKee and Danny Castillo.

    Awesome matchmaking right here. They should be pretty evenly matched on the mat, but Grant has the edge standing. Late TKO for TJ.

    Let’s be honest though, my TJ Grant predicitons are hopelessly biased.
