Hollet Meets Hawk at Bellator 57
After many months of rumours that Roger “The Hulk” Hollett would be making his début in Bellator the wait is finally over as it was confirmed today that he will take on John “Big” Hawk in his promotional début. Bellator 57 is their second trip north of the border and will also include the Finale of their Season 5 Welterweight Tournament and a non title fight between Women’s 115lb Champ Zoila Gurgel and Carina Damm. The event will take place at Casino Rama in Southern Ontario and will air live on The Score across Canada.
Canada’s #3 Ranked Light Heavyweight is coming off 4 straight victories with the most recent being over fellow top ten ranked Martin Désilets whom Hollett was able to stop via second round strikes in their April bout at Ringside MMA 10. The former MFC Light Heavyweight Champion is a dangerous finisher with only one decision among his twelve wins and holds notable victories over the likes of Aron Lofton, Victor Valimaki and Ray Penny.
John Hawk will be making his second appearance inside the Bellator cage. Hawk made his mark with a dominating performance that forced Allan Weickert to retire on the stool between the second and third round at Bellator 51. Since a 4-0 start to his young MMA career, Hawk has faltered slightly in his last five bouts going 2-3 including a pair of losses to Dan Spohn the second being for the NAAFS Light Heavyweight Title.
WAR Hollett! WAR East Coast!!!
A tough but fair test for Roger. It seems that Bellator is interested in building talent which is a plus. Hopefully Roger’s injuries are behind him because he is a serious force when he’s healthy.
I think it’s an easy fight for Hollet, he will crush this guy.
Hollet will crush him
