Can Michel Gagnon Stop Bo Harris?
Can Michel Gagnon (7-1) put an end to David ‘Bo’ Harris’ run through the Canadian Bantamweight division?
According to several sources (update: confirmed by Ringside), Bo Harris (6-2-1) has verbally agreed to take Stephane Pelletier’s spot on the Ringside 12 card in Montreal on October 21. Harris has been a one man wrecking crew going 4 for 4 against Canadian 135ers over his career. In 2011 alone, Harris has progressively beaten better and better Canadians. First he quickly dispatched Chucky Mady at MFC 29 and then won decisions over Brent Franczuz and Adrian Wooley at MMA Live and Global Warriors, respectively.
Harris’ opponent will be Michel ‘Mitch’ Gagnon from Sudbury, Ontario, who slammed his way to the Ringside Featherweight title this past April. Gagnon was to challenge Stephane Pelletier for the Ringside Bantamweight title on October 21st in his first attempt at making 135. Gagnon has not lost in two and half years since a unanimous decision loss to Will Romero. Stopping Harris in his 135 debut would certainly place Canada’s 5th ranked Featherweight high up the Bantamweight ranks.

great fight!
ummmmmm…. Great fight…
I think Gagnon submits him in a five round fight.
Gagnon is a freakish fighting machine. I would so love to see this fight.
I had the privilege of calling both of their last fights. From cageside.
As well as seeing Harris vs Frrranctrixxzuzxz up close.
Mitch fast starter. Harris slow. Mitch intense. Harris relaxed.
Supercool opposites.
I think Pelletier was a tougher fight for Mitch.
The biggest danger with Harris IS how relaxed he is. He’s almost mellow. It helps him fight very very smart and make great decisions. He fights like a wise old veteran. Its very cool to watch.
But Mitch fights like a sonovabitch.
I get to call this one live.
It’ll air on Fight Network a week or 2 late but it might be live PPV online for like $10.
I’ll find out and post here.
Gotta disagree. I think Harris is a tougher fight. Mitch’s tough, non stop style and good wrestling really tends to wear down opponents. I think that will be a lot tougher to do against someone with wrestling like Harris’ (see Harris vs. Wooley). Either way, great fight. Hope I can make it to this one to support my man Mich.
Brent my friend, I would have absolutely agreed with you before I saw how dynamic pelltier is now, how explosive, and how complete. last fight he absolutely was at another level.
Harris is a real tough one tho and a great matchup.
agreed with brent , this is a tougher fight !
harris has fought better and beaten better fighters so…
whos idea was it to brign this american over to fight these canucks!!!! damn them 5 for 5 for harris, guaranteed!!!!
Gagnon sub 1st ! good luck Mitch
This one has 5 rounds written all over it
Ringside told me that this one will be 3 rounds. Pelletier had the title and it looks like Ringside will not make this an interim title fight.
Mitch Gagnon wins this fight.
papa g, your high
A Pelletier Gagnon fight is a superintense risky explosive affair.
Harris Gagnon is a strategic bantamweight chessmatch.
The more you look at this fight the cooler it gets.
If Mitch makes it a gunfight Mitch wins. If Bo draws Mitch into a contest of subtleties Bo wins.
Love it.
good luck mitch
great fight, harris by decision
Decisive victory.
Stopped Harris dead in his tracks.
Now the excuses will start.
They will be addressed one by one.
GAGNON IS A 1ST RND SUB.. ACE ! IF ANY 1 CAN GET PASS THE 1ST RND , ESPECIALLY AGAINST A BIGGER , LENGTHIER FIGHTER WITH BJJ SKILLS, HAS A CHANCE , ( GROULX DID HIS HOMEWORK ) HELL OF A FIGHT . I JUST THINK A GUY GAGNONS SIZE HAS NO CHANCE AGAINST HIM , HIS PAST FIGHTS TELL ME ANY 1 AT 135 BETTER WATCH OUT , THIS GUY ENDS SHIT QUICK !
