Canadian Rumour Mill – September 26

By:

Last days of summer are here.  Leaves are starting to change.  It is MMA season here in Canada.

  • Tri Star’s dormitory has just recently opened up and fighters from all over are flocking to the gym. Just some of the names from around Canada:  Duguay, Keith, Johnson, Fadai, Mangat, Chiappe.
  • This past weekend’s private Pure show was pulled by the Oilmen.
  • The upcoming Bellator show in Ontario will have a non-title fight between Carina Damm and Zoila Gurgel.
  • Freedom Fight had planned a show for Windsor on November 26th, those plans have been cancelled.
  • Jesse “Water” Bongfeldt will headline Rumble in the Cage (RITC) 45, November 26th.
  • Any and all ECC shows have been cancelled, no word yet on when the next event will be.
  • Wagnney Fabiano is injured and is out of the upcoming Score Fight Series events.
  • Tim Hague and Mike Ciesnolevicz don’t seem to really like each other.  Hague has called Ciesnolevicz out and it looks like the two of them might face off at Prestige FC 4, if weight and financial numbers can be negotiated.
  • The Score has pulled the plug on its planned November 18th event in Thunder Bay.

I didn’t know the UFC released Waterbong… Do you know if they are just letting him take a fight outside or if he was axed? I thought they would give him another fight, Weidman is very tough competition especially if you don’t have the wrestling chops!

I was wondering about Bongfeldt as well. I dont remember him being released, but he is no longer listed on UFC.com
Hopefully he pick up a couple wins and get back to the big show

  11. Cj Saftic says:

Yea UFC.com removed him right after UFC 131 but at 0-1-1 he didn’t really deserve to be released. I bet he will be back sooner then later.
