I wouldn’t say fat per say but I saw some photos from a fight you did in Lethbridge and your opponent, Kevin or Kyle, looked like he was one skipped meal away from being a lightweight and you didn’t look much bigger than him at the time. Maybe you’ve been eating your veggies and hitting the gym since though.

I understand but from what I’ve gathered on how the rankings work is that if you have been active in a weight class in the last year then you will be ranked.

So Mein has been active, that’s why he’s ranked.

And I agree he’s talented enough to be be ranked at both weight classes but he’s under contract with Strikeforce as a welterweight which means he more then likely wont be taking fights at middleweight for some time.

I think J-Mac has a great chance in the Belcher fight, that fight has the same feeling of J-mac vs Leben and Herman… Maybe J-mac will leave with the arm that has that horrible Cash tatoo! Ha!

Anonymous, you need to watch more MMA if you think Cote’s game plan wasn’t one of the major reasons that fight went out of the 1st round.

A correction though, that fight was the first time in 4 years and 12 fights that Anderson was taken to the third round so the argument that that was when Anderson ‘got bored’ doesn’t hold water.

10 times in his career (35 fights) he’s been taken to the third round and better. Clearly this was a game plan since Anderson was almost perfect in the first round and second rounds (only a loss a piece).

Cote gets credit for executing a beautiful strategy.

Wait a second here fellas, lets get one thing straight. Cote didn’t take Silva out of the first round, that was just the beginning of when Silva was bored and gave people a chance to get at him, lol, sorry I couldn’t resist that one!

Cote was also the first guy to take Anderson out of the first round in the UFC. Considering most people have Andy as 1 or 2 on the all time P4P list this has to be weighed.

Cote was previously above Ring and both beat a “ufc” type guy since the last rankings.

Let’s be honest here people. Riggs is a shell of his former self (personally I’ve also thought Riggs was overrated but he is a UFC vet) and while Chase has potential ahead of him his big mistake was in thinking Jordan didn’t hit hard. I also think Chase should be at welterweight but that’s another story.

A win over Cyborg will not help his Middleweight ranking. However, wins over Degenhardt, Riggs, and Buckland at 185 in the past 1.5 years do count and they are better wins than anyone below him on this list.

Yea I got mad love for Jordan Mein but he’s a welterweight. The win over Riggs was solid at 185 but he’s signed to Strikeforce as a welterweight. If he beats Cyborg Santos I cant see why that would help his middleweight ranking.
