Strikeforce Announces Budd vs. Rousey


According to Strikeforce’s official Twitter account, Julia Budd and Ronda Rousey will tangle come the month of November. No specific date, location or venue were announced. “Clash of styles” will be the buzz phrase surrounding this tilt as the former pro Kickboxer clashes with the Judo Olympian.

“What’s next for featherweight fans? @JuliaBudd vs @RondaRousey verbally agreed to for a November fight card”

Budd, a Muay Thai specialist has fought her entire pro MMA career in Strikeforce and trains out of the famed Gibson’s Kickboxing & Pankration. The “Jewel” defeated Shana Nelson in her MMA debut, and then lost her sophomore effort to Amanda Nunes via a quick KO. Budd rebounded after her first defeated by edging out Germaine de Randamie en route to a unanimous decision victory.

Rousey, a decorated Judo player won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Competing in professional MMA for just six months, Ronda has dispatched of all three of her opponents in a mere 1:39 of total cage time.

    Would like to see Budd win but that Rousey is a bad ass chick. All comes down to who can oppose their will. Great fight all around!
