WRECK has Unfinished Business on October 28


Wreck MMA is excited to announce that their next event will take place on October 28th at the Casino Lac Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec. The event, which will once again be part of The Score Fighting Series, will be headlined by the highly anticipated bout for the Wreck Welterweight Title between Ottawa’s own Nabil ‘The Thrill’ Khatib and Thunder Bay’s Nathan Gunn. Khatib is coming off a come from behind victory against Showtime Wedderburn and Gunn stopped Lindsey Hawkes to earn this spot. Khatib has long been considered one of the toughest fighters in Canada due to his heart and intestinal fortitude in the cage and Gunn comes in with the same pedigree. Both fighters will not give up and this fight will be be a real test of wills between two warriors.

Fighting in the co-main event at Wreck MMA: Unfinished Business will be one of Canada’s top bantamweights as Nick ‘The Ninja of Love’ Denis will be involved in a #1 contenders bout for the next shot at John ‘The Haggis Basher’ Fraser’s Bantamweight Title. His opponent will be announced shortly as Wreck is in final negotiations for the international superfight. Also on the card is a fight in the Flyweight Division between Rockland’s Mike Reilly and OAMA’s Remi ‘Bam Bam’ Morvan. Morvan will be making his Flyweight debut as he will be dropping to 125 pounds for this fight.

One of Ottawa’s top prospects Mustafa ‘Mufasa’ Khalil will take on the highly touted prospect from Windsor, Kyle Prepolec. Other fighters scheduled to appear from the Ottawa region are Randy Turner, Chris St-Jean, Pablo Santos, Daryl Hartley, Marc Lefebvre, Tariq Ismail and Jeff Harrison.     physically i feel fine. I am pretty confident that I could handle a training camp and compete again without any major issues…

    I am going back to school in Sept (will be in Ottawa within the next week or two) so I need to see how well I can juggle school/work/training.

    Worst case scenario next summer after I graduate!

    I am going to be taking the Social Service Worker Intensive course at Algonquin. Heavy workload for 39 weeks and then freedom!

    And yes it was a bad joke on my part but Remi is the man… looking forward to attending this event!
