Top MMA News has heard strong rumours that Ryan Jimmo will defend his MFC Light-Heavyweight title against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou.  The fight is scheduled to take place at MFC 31 on October 7th in Edmonton.

While no one from either camp or the MFC will confirm this rumour, it sounds like a very strong probability.

Ryan Jimmo (15-1) is on a 15 fight tear.  The #1 Canadian Light-Heavyweight most recently defended his title against Zak Cummings. Jimmo has beaten such fighters as Dwayne Lewis, Marvin Eastman, and Wilson Gouveia in his fifteen fight streak.  After losing his debut, Jimmo has never looked back and will now face one of his stiffest tests in the African Assassin.

Sokoudjou is one of the most recognizable Light-Heavyweights outside of the UFC.  After bursting on the MMA scene with KO wins in PRIDE over Ricardo Arona and Little Nog, Sokoudjou went 1-2 in the UFC.  In Sokoudjou’s last fight at the Score Fighting Series, Thierry defeated Roy Boughton by decision to give him three consecutive victories.
