The Rhino Takes The Crow’s Spot

More sad news on the established Canadian Middleweight front, David Loiseau has had to withdraw from his title defence at Tachi Palace Fights. An undisclosed injury has forced “The Crow” to bow out of his bout with “The Arm Collector” Giva Santana. Doug “The Rhino” Marshall has been inked as the replacement for Santana. Credit to for breaking the story.

Loiseau won the TPF Middleweight strap by defeating Leopaldo Serao via TKO doctor’s stoppage this past February. Let’s hope Loiseau has a speedy recovery and can step back in the TPF cage and defend his title against the winner of Santana and Marshall.

Real curious, why was there a parting of the ways between Rhino and WEC? And why was Rhino never brought into the UFC fold when he was a former champ, 7-3 in WEC, had 5 wins in a row following the Stann loss (over pretty good competition)?
Especially as he was one of the few WEC guys with some name recognition.

Been curious about that for a while.
