UPDATE: Added Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Joachim Hansen
Hansen has been competing in the 63kg (139) division and walks lighter then the lightweight limit (weighed in at 150lbs against Aoki). He will be giving up way too much size against an opponent who looks to wrestle and utilize top control. I will be rooting for Hellboy but I don’t like the match up for him.
Agreed Adam, I’m a Hellboy fan for sure though!
UPDATE: Added Antonio Banuelos, Takafumi Otsuka, Abel Cullum and Yusup Saadulaev to Bantamweight World Grand Prix
Hey Adam and Jamie… the Hansen/Kawajiri fight is actually gonna be in the DREAM Featherweight (143lbs) division
That’s good. I hope Hellboy can pull it out.
Thanks Cody!
UPDATE: Added Gerald Harris vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura
UPDATE: Added Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Yan Cabral
UPDATE: Event will air live on HDNet
I like every fight on the card, this should be a good one. This should be an exciting tourney.
EXCELLENT CARD!
Imanari vs Cullum is GOOD TIMES.
Watch out for Takafumi Otsuka!!! He is a bad ass and my favorite fighter right now.
I hope he meets Banuelos (he’d crush him) in the 2nd round but he has to get past Bibiano first and the odds are against him on that….
Great show.
I am going with Diniz winning tournament
I’ve got the young underdog Otsuka and my man Davis has Diniz.
Anyone else? Bobby?
Diniz looked awesome against Jesse Brock at Shooto Brazil.
I think we’ll see Diniz vs Banuelos for the final, with Diniz taking the tourney. This would be a very exciting fight. I’d like to see it under the 10 minute forst round rules, but I think they’ve moved on from that. Also, with the sketchy Japanese judging, they will want to see a hometown fighter in the final.
I think Diniz vs Saadulaev is the toughest first match up.
Plus all the favs are on here, Hellboy, Uno, Aoki, Saku. Plus we have Williamy, Razor Rob and Harris, this could be the best (most entertaining) Dream card yet.
Tokoro
UPDATE: Fight order set, event will be first to use three five minute rounds.
UPDATE: Added Ikuhisa Monowa vs. Baru Harn in an open weight bout.
The Flash wins this fight and then the tournament.
