Yep, I think so. BJJ doesn’t have punches though.

Fraser came through with a quick sub just like he was supposed too. Congrats to him; those types of fights are tough ‘casue if he didn’t win fast it would have been a disappointment.

Also its time we get to see Clements in a big show as well, bellator? the score fighting series? MFC? somethign on tv

  22. joe says:

Blayd you are an idiot, the MFC? Score Fighting Series? lol what about the actual big shows? Strikeforce, UFC is where Clements belongs!

  23. blayd cooper says:

lol, i ment for canada. of course ufc and strikeforce would be the big shows. i hope it happens next fight but id assume they both have one more fight atleast before that jump. so the shows i mentioned wold be there next option. no?

so joe your the idiot just cause u said i was!!!

  26. roberto says:

Clements is good, but “B” level good. He couldn’t make it in the IFL, he’d get crushed in the UFC or Strikeforce. Fraser on the other hand would do just fine in the new bantamweight UFC division.

  27. joe says:

Couldn’t make it in the IFL lol have you seen that fight? Probably the worst stoppage ever, he was getting to his feet after slipping and the ref jumped in, go look it up. Briere was a good prospect and Clements just outclassed him everywhere, hardly a “B” level performance. There is not a guy in the MFC that could hang with him!

  28. roberto says:

Don’t get me wrong, Clements is good like I said but he would not survive in the UFC. He’s fought some tough competition and has lost to guys who couldn’t make it in the UFC. Not a lot of Canadian 170’rs would give him trouble but he is not UFC ready.

  29. rob says:

    Joe,
Clements did not slip against Markham. He was knocked down twice with big shots. What fight did you watch?

  30. Priest says:

I would like to see chris move up to bellator, and maybe he should move to a better gym where he can improve over all, i’m not taking shots, i’m a big fan of chris’s.

Just wondering, is chris from chatham ontario, i thought that he was from dresden ontario?

  31. blayd cooper says:

chris is from dresden but trains at adrenaline training center in london full time, i think hes got a great camp to train with. he could move back to his old gym, that could be a great move for him tho ;)

  32. Andrew Davies says:

Mr. Farse/ pavalich.. Wow didn’t your mother ever teach you if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say nothing?
Clements may not survive in the ufc but he has earned a shot. He lost to bongfeldt and Alessio but he was totally dominating bongfeldt till he tore his ACL and he was getting the better of Alessio who was running away. Clements shouldn’t of even fought that fight he only had 1 arm and has a surgery booked for 2 days after. And the Rory markham fight was oné the top 10 worst stoppage éver. Also clements is a finisher. He may not have a perfect record but he comes to fight 100% of the time.

  33. Marty says:

I agree Clements should have a shot at the UFC. He had the fastest KO in mma history, he retired Goulet with one of the worst Knockouts ever, he has a 100% finish stat. There are guys a lot less deserving then him that get a shot. I’m sure he could already get a fight in bellator or mfc but would rather see him in the ufc, nobody cares about MFC. Its a like a fighter grave yard. Its a place to go end your career after you fail at the big show.

  34. Rob says:

I think Bellator is good place for Clements right now. A few wins there and I’d be convinced that he belongs in the big show.

I would love to hear you justify that Fraser can and clements can’t? I am a fan of both these guys and have trained with both. Both of them are great guys and great fighters. Both have 2 titles… The difference is that clements has faced ufc fighters in the past and done very well. And that was a while back he has improved and shown it. Also he not only beat goulet an 8 time ufc vet he koed him for 5 Mins. Fraser hasn’t fought any ufc guys yet. I’m sure he will soon and do well but just curious about your statement

  36. Priest says:

@blayd cooper thanks for clearing that up for me, i thought that chris was from dresden.

And i just wanted to make this clear, i hope for nothing but big things for chris in the future.

It’s good to see a dresden boy make his own way, and have success.

Ya Chris gotta be on TV next. 2 wins in The Score Fighting Series then to the UFC.

100% KO ratio is special and we gotta see him on tv.

Clements was just highlighted on Inside MMA this Friday as the fight of week. That was a sick spinning back kick.

  39. roberto says:

    @ Ryan T:

The 170lb UFC division is stacked. Clements has fought and lost to ex UFC’rs that couldn’t survive in it. Yes, he KO’d a retiring Goulet.

The 135lb division is newer and not as stacked so that is why I said that Fraser could do well in it and I’m impressed with Fraser since he’s been on his streak. I’d like to see Fraser step up his competition. Mady wasn’t near his level. I think Joe Silva could be calling.

I don’t know either guy and I’m not knocking Clements, he’s a very good fighter, I’m just saying I don’t think he’d survive in the UFC. Just my opinion. I’d like to see how he does in Bellator or even Strikeforce first before I’d be convinced he’s UFC ready.
