Challenge MMA Card Gets Retooled
Two changes have rocked the foundation of the Challenge MMA card on June 17th including the main event.
Orignally expected to face Seth Petruzelli, Steve Bossé will now be going up against Emanuel Newton. Petruzelli withdrew because of a case of shingles according to mm-eh.ca. Newton is coming in the fight with two straight wins in the MFC against fan favorite Dwayne Lewis and UFC veteran Rodney Wallace, Bossé has been good throughout his career with a 8-1 record and is currently the 5th ranked Light-Heavyweight in Canada. Bossé has not fought since defeating Mychal Clark at W-1 Judgement Day in June of last year.
Also being replaced on the card is Ariel Sexton. After a win on his own fight card over the weekend against Lenny Wheeler, Ricky Goodall will get a chance to test his skills at 155 once again. He will face Mike Ricci after Areil Sexton dropped out because of an injury. Ricci is coming off a win over Jesse Ronson at Ringside 10 back in April and is one of top Lightweights in the country. He is currently ranked 8th in the country by Top MMA News.
