Canadian Rumour Mill – April 18

Hi guys,

I’m not sure if many of you follow boxing (if you don’t you should!), what a great weekend of fights and upsets!!! Juan Ma got finished off by Salido for his first loss, Ortiz beat the previously unbeaten Berto, and both Amir Khan and Chris John won!

Can’t wait for the upcoming long weekend, need a break, might go to Vegas and hit some clubs and relax at the pool.

  • No Bobby Kalmakoff vs Mike Ciesnolevicz, Mike C is fighting veteran Bruce Nelson at Prestige FC 2.
  • The new London show is now called Pro Fighting Championship and will be on either July 16 or 23.
  • Chris Clements will appear on the debut Pro Fighting Championship.
  • MFC will return to Edmonton in June will be star studded – look for Marcus Davis and Drew Fickett to both be on the card.
  • The MFC show will kick off with the rematch between Sheldon Westcott vs Thomas “Wildman” Denny and Curtis Demarce vs Robert Washington.
  • Rumour has it both Ringside and AFC are considering holding shows in Ontario.
  • Calgary’s Hard Knocks is looking to take their show on the road as well.
  • Steve Claveau is looking at making a return to the ring soon, look for “the Snake” to make a return on an upcoming Ringside card.
  • Sounds like Josh Hill, Will Romero, and Roger Hollett will be appearing on The Score Fighting Series show in Mississauga.
  • Ground and Pound is not happening in Saint John, NB due to commission issues.
  • Look for the Slammer in the Hammer to make a big name signing announcement.
  • Cage Fighting Manitoba what the heck? Show is less than 1 month away and no fight announcements.
  • Canadian Fighting Championship will awake from hibernation in the fall?
  • Chris Jericho is such a dream boat! :)

Prestige f c has no commission this means improper Medicals pre and post, no viewing of matchs before they happen, no watch hand wraps, proper fighter safety, wait until some gets an epideral bleed n dies. I heard it’s going to be shut down by bylaw also that fighters will be held and banned to fight in there jeristiction , also if bylaw waits to prosecute after the event criminal charges will be laid to the fighters.

Claveau is an animal. His Aaron Riley fight was one of the best tilts i have ever seen. He is the consummate showman and ducks no-one; I pity his next opponent.

Please do not ever ever ever mention a professional wrestler on here again. Ever….

I agree with my good friend Harry on many things, including the awesomeness of the Claveau Riley fight.

BC, you are very misinformed…that is not even remotely true. Its sad that ppl like you come on here and make up lies to try to hurt the event. The precautions taken for PrestigeFC are above and beyond expectations. Maybe you should have an idea of what you are talking about before you post. Sadly you did not do your research and now you look foolish. PrestigeFC I was an amazing event. PrestigeFC II is only going to be better.

One rumour this week that can be confirmed is that Roger Hollett will be fighting on the Score Fighting Series show. I was talking with him at ECC 12 over the weekend in which a video interview will be on the site sometime this week. He can’t say who he is fighting yet because there working out the deal but he did say he would let me know in the next week
