  5. Pro Watch, Here is what I have heard:

There is no local Saint John commission. However, city council has given promoters permission to bring in the ISCF to run the event.

  6. Steve Kantor says:

Since we have boxing/wrestling commission here, We are having the event sanctioned under the ISCF. The city is standing by to see how this event goes. There are fighters comming in from all over Canada to compete, this is a huge satep for our city, and gonna be a nail biting show.

  8. Gerald A. Thomas CBF Director for the Province of NB says:

    To whom it may concern:
Under the criminal code of Canada section 83(1) and 83(2) and with all due respect to the city of Saint John, city council does not have the authority to grant a promoter permission to bring a Commission into the province of NB to have a fight event sanctioned. Secondly, that would place the promoter in a ‘conflict of interest’ with that Commission. A promoter is granted PERMISSION from a Commission to have an event sanctioned and that is ONLY if all the rules are followed by the promoter.

    Respectfuly forwarded for your information.

  9. Event is postponed.

    Email from Stephen Kantor,
“I have horrible news, Due to the moncton boxing comission and another mma organization in moncton, The city is stopping us from having the event now in may. We are going in front of council for the second voting to get our own comission here. This is going to take a few months though. When we started this, the city and police were behind us, and said there was no issue. but now they are stopping us for may. We are hoping to have an event by August now.”
