Top MMA News has learned that John “Haggis Basher” Fraser has signed to fight for the WRECK Bantamweight title.  Fraser is the W1 Featherweight champion and will be dropping down to the 135 lb weight limit for the May 6th fight.  Fraser’s opponent will be Canada’s fourth ranked Bantamweight – the unbeaten Eric Wilson.

After starting his career with a 3-3 record, Fraser has taken a run at the Canadian Featherweight division.  The Haggis Basher reeled off four consecutive wins over the past two years to become the sixth ranked Canadian Featherweight.  Among his notable wins include a four round victory over Thierry Quenneville last June to win his W1 title.  His fight against Eric Wilson will be his debut in the Bantamweight division.

Wilson surprised the MMA world last October with a win over Roland Delorme.  Crisp striking complimented the leg submission specialist’s ground game as Wilson won the split decision over Delorme to improve his record to a perfect 5-0.  Wilson will look to keep his record unblemished and win the first title of his career against Fraser.

This Bantamweight title becomes the second title fight on the card as Jesse Gross will face Brad Cardinal for WRECK’s Lightweight title.  Keep coming back to Top MMA News for more news on the card.
