This is a great thing for Halifax. Time and Time again we have seen absolute mismatches on cards, and time and time again we have seen promotions try to come in and be the next UFC when all Halifax and the East Coast wants is a good solid promotion that put on solid fights.

I think with this card AFC will have achieved this. There is such a fan base here in Halifax and such a thirst to see local guys perform there skills that I don’t see how this event can fail.

I like that AFC is taking it easy while expanding. The reason alot of these shows fail when expanding is they try and go to a city and put on a highlight card with names from all over and can’t afford it.
The AFC is being smart, showcasing local talent and moving its name across the country at the same time.

For sure, no one here is in the UFC but the way they are matched it should be great fights.

Its all about opporunity, everyone can win. Local guys gain experience and showcase their skills in front of friends and family. Promotions can expand, not make a crazy amount of profit, but making a small and sustainable profit equals longevity.

What happened to that 400+ lb escaped convict from Edmonton-William Wade Bicknell, 42? I heard a rumor the cold lake show weighted him in at 155 lbs, even with the rug under the walmart scale.
Maybe he is that masked guy who fights at the Cree casino? Rumor is Johy vegas signed him inexchange for free food.

    Any updates?
