Aggression MMA Acquires The Fight Club
January 17th, 2011 – Edmonton, Alberta, Aggression MMA has concluded with its arrangement to acquire, one of the premier MMA promotions in Western Canada, in The Fight Club (TFC). This agreement will merge TFC under the Aggression MMA umbrella and all future events will occur under the Aggression name.
“This is hands down the most exciting day for us at Aggression. We obviously have an abundance of respect for The Fight Club and the components for making that such a successful mixed martial arts organization over the years,” stated Harvey Panesar co-owner of Aggression MMA, “It just felt right to start solidifying the MMA landscape in Edmonton, to be able to provide the amazing fans of Edmonton an event bringing the best locals under one roof, without having to choose amongst the two organizations.”
“The Fight Club has successfully established its brand with the MMA community in Canada, putting on over 12 shows and some remarkable fight cards, however both organizations felt it was best to work together, rather than compete amongst each other, in the end, the fans win.”
Aggression MMA will be acquiring some of the contracts that are in place with the TFC and will bring on Mr. Mark Sinclair as the Director of Production and Pay Per View. “We are pleased that Mr. Sinclair is coming on board with us. The production aspect of TFC was incredible and we are looking to make future Aggression shows just as good, if not better on the production side,” continued Harvey Panesar
Aggression MMA, will continue to move forward with its next show, which will be announced Friday, January 21, 2010 at the Kamikaze Punishment/Aggression MMA Private Gym located at 11845 Wayne Gretzky DR, Edmonton, Alberta. For more information please contact info@aggressionmma.com
Aggression is also pleased to announce that on Saturday, January 22, Kamikaze Punishment presents a 1-day UFC Fighter seminar, with a meet and greet featuring: Clay “The Carpenter” Guida, Mike “Quicksand” Pyle, and Jason “The athlete” Macdonald.

Congrats to Harvey and Moin and Mark Sinclair and all involved. Nice to see.
Hope this solidifies some of the competition here in Edmonton… interested to see where this goes for sure!
What did they acquire? TFC was going out of business.
cool great news! but why couldnt you guys by out Mr. Pavelich instead? lol
You’ll find out soon enough what was all involved in the transaction.
That is great news, really enjoy TFC and o course Aggression. Now Aggression can start making champions for there promotion.
Aggression is gonna be huge now… they’re gonna be one of the biggest shows in Canada! Congrats guys!
Thanks Cody! We are banking on it. It was not possible to legitimize true champions and belt holders by having quality fighters in 2 different promotions. We can now focus on truly giving the fans quality match ups that they deserve.
I would love to fight out that way… i am exciting and i always come to fight!
if you need fighters to round out your roster contace Curtis Brigham in Winnipeg!
Aggression cancelled there last show as well, this sounds like two shows that both have no clue.
I am feeling a Luke Harris vs Bas Huveneers!
LOL, do you have spidey sense?
Hey Duffy,We never announced a December show so how do you cancel something that is not officially announced? We had our Good friend George Awada(one of the most respected trainers in the local MMA scene) put on a show so some our Aggression fighters could keep busy. We are one the few organization that puts fighters first. Don’t forget we have a press conference at the Aggression MMA headquarters friday jan 21 at 2 30. What organization opens a private gym for its fighters Duffy? Everyone is welcome to the press conference. Come say hi Duffy and we can continue this conversation. I hate being a keyboard warrior
I will, I will probably be the only person there. Good luck.
So easy to talk shit behind a keyboard.
Make sure you say hi. What do you look like?
I’m Irish 5’11 210 and love real MMA
Great, looking forward to discussing MMA. I will be the 6ft, 260 ibs brown dude if your wondering.
hell ya im stoked to hear this news to be honest! Maybe Harris can get some real competition now! Love to see Harris vs Huveneers or hell even vs Hinchcliffe of Krahn! make one of those fights happen PLEASE!!!
My Spidey sense is tingling….What about the next LW contender?
I have had the privelage of working with both TFC and Aggression. This merger is a great thing for the two companies and Edmonton fight fans!! Mark Sinclair has some great ideas and some really good connections, he will be a valuable asset to Aggression. Moin, Troy and Harvey have been working very hard to take Aggression to the next level. This will make things go alot smoother!!!
Shit, why do I always forget about saying congrats to Troy?
Troy, best of luck to you too!
Best of luck, guys! Wishing you all the best.
Doerksen
I want to thank the fighters, agents, managers, promoters, media and most of all the fans that I have had the privelage to work with and for, over the past 3 years with The Fight Club. I am excited about joining forces with Harvey, Moin and Troy and moving forward with the exciting future of Agression MMA!
It has been an exciting three years with TFC, I am looking forward to bigger and better things with EDMONTON’S number 1 promotion – Agression MMA!

cool great news! but why couldnt you guys by out Mr. Pavelich instead? lol
BAHAHAHAHA ya ask mark what his companies worth, he’ll say “well right on par with the ufc, ill give it to ya cheap 750,000,000.00 for MFC”
Congrats guys, buying out the MFC would only tarnish their good reputation. This move solidifies Agression MMA as the number 1 promotion in Edmonton.
Definitely some exciting times for MMA in Edmonton! Can’t wait to find out all the gory details :)
so will there be a cage or ring in the Aggresions next show?
Cage
Owen nobody knew who you were last week until you brought up pavolich.
Congrats to everyone involved! I look forward to making it out to the upcoming events! Best of luck!
sweet i prefer the cage much much more! ropes just arent any good for MMA in my opinion!
Who is this Duffy Young? He seems to be slamming every other promotion. Is it Pavelich under a false name?
Duffy = Scott Zerr
Pavelich would have made 20 spelling mistakes by now.
Real MMA fans know Darren Owen as do the 3000 plus fans that attend the AFC shows and so do world class fighters like Robert Drysdale. I can’t wait for our MMA discussion with such an astute MMA aficionado such as yourself. Don’t forget about the press conference at the aggression mma combative sports HQ.
Scott-
Please have the decency to spell your boss’ name correctly.
He spells it incorrectly on purpose to trick everyone into thinking he’s not associated with him. Pavelich must have a very bad memory because he knew me 9 months ago when he tried to book our venue. Our arena told him they were exclusive with me and he could go pound sand. He lost it on the phone saying it’s ridiculous to have an exclusive contract. Shortly after, he pulled that crap at CFC and promoted a show in Brandon, Manitoba. I can’t really remember how that went for him. Oh ya 80 tickets pre-sold so he had to run back to his tent.
one day i hope to see a brawl between all the different Canadian promoters, something along the lines of the brawl from the movie, Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgandy! lets see you guys mash some shit up to see who really is the best Promo team in the Biz! lol
Trent, make it happen….
lol man then id have to start my own promotion! Then id have to include myself in the fight and risk getting my arm chopped off! er no thanks! lol
Trent, you had the honor of watching Harvey and I spar at the Agrression training ctr and it wasn’t pretty. We don’t know the meaning of 50 percent so it always gets ugly. Plus most of the MMA promoters are much too pretty to mess up their makeup. That means you Darren. Robin told me you love eyeliner
I’m probably biased, but my money would be on CFC promoter Giuseppe DeNatale. He’s a world champion kickboxer, and I believe one of the few promoters who have even competed in MMA.
Giuseppe’s stare alone is tougher than most promoters.
Don’t forget that Keith Crawford is our director of Operations. My money is on him. I have heard about Giuseppe’s stare and i was scared hearing about it. It couldn’t be that scary though if Duffy’s boss had the balls to announce his Brandon show at Giuseppe’s event. Did Duffy’s boss witness the “stare”? Regardless my money is on Keith.
Is the MFC still ran by that wayne newton look a like?
The carnival MMA show, take ur circus tent and head to Ontario. I am sure there are some nice men there to pleasure you while you give away tickets to fill ur shows.
Real MMA shows support the king ding a ling ufc.
CHeck my links in the AFC throws its weight around thread; I make a strong case he looks like another faaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous celebrity….
Man oh man you guys!!! Tim Hague is a promoter….I’ll lay odds.
Pro fighters don’t count. He is the official matchmaker Dean
