Chuck Liddell Retires; Becomes UFC VP

Chuck Liddell has officially retired. The former Light-Heavyweight champion has turned in his gloves for a key to the UFC executive office. The 41 year old legend will become a UFC Executive Vice President of Business Development, Dana White announced at the UFC 125 pre-fight press conference.

Liddell thanked the UFC for a great career and said he is “ready for a new chapter in my career.” Liddell will be heavily involved with the UFC’s international expansion.

The Iceman retires with a 21-7 record including a record 16 victories in the UFC Octagon. His last fight was a knockout loss to Rich Franklin at UFC Vancouver.

    never forget chuck liddell. Chuck goes down as one of the best. cant stay on top forever, and sometimes when we are on top, theres nowhere to fall. chuck happen to go out swinging against franklin, and put on a good final show. War iceman.

    Also, 21-8 is his record.

    Chucks last fight was great he went in there swinging like he always does which latley became his downfall, but he is what a fighter is supposed to be. He always gave the fans what they want, you shall be fondly remebered WAR ICEMAN!!!
