Pierson One and Done?
According to a report by The Star, Toronto UFC fighter Sean Pierson may have fought his last fight in the UFC.
Pierson, who has been fighting since 1999, is also a Toronto Police Service recruit. After his UFC 124 win, Pierson has been told that he must choose between being a UFC fighter and being a police officer.
The Toronto Police Service must approve all secondary forms of employment. Apparently, this is a form of employment that is not approved. Currently the TPS is investigating this situation and in the meantime, Pierson had to hand in his uniform.
such a good debut as well. Throw out the uniform lets see you back in the octagon.
Wow thats a tough and risky decision. I was impressed with his debut, and would like to see him get another shot.
That’s a real shame. Great to see so much support from the Toronto Police Service…Mike Russow is in the UFC and is a police officer and claims he gets great support from the Police.
Dick move, especially coming off a W. Hopefully they will reconsider.
Complete BS. I expect nothing less from Toronto.
Sean, please don’t back down and give into the TPS. Live you dream, fight in the UFC, then go back to the TPS and claim discrimination.
I can’t wait to see Sean back in the octagon.
Damn. I thought he was an engineer or something? Well, you know what guys? The man ain’t 22 anymore. He’s been fighting for a while, he has a family and a good job, why not? This would be walking out in the sunset for him.
