Davis Retains Title at Raging Wolf 10

By:

Port Colburne’s own Alexis Davis righted her ship and retained her Women’s Bantamweight title by defeating Tonya Evinger this past weekend. Davis and Evinger battled it out as the main event of Raging Wolf 10 which took place in the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. Davis was able to finish the fight quickly by cinching in the fight ending Rear Naked Choke at just 1:25 into the first round.

For Evinger it was déjà vu as she lost to Davis via Rear Naked Choke just six months prior at a previous Raging Wolf event. Evinger is 4-2 in her last six fights with both losses coming at the hands of Davis.

Davis improves to 3-3 in her last six fights. Her previous fight was a unanimous decision loss to Elaina Maxwell. That fight was was supposed to be for Davis’ Raging Wolf title but Maxwell failed to make weight and the fight was switched to a non title affair. Davis has fought the best of the women’s bantamweight division and her stock continues to rise. If a contract with Strikeforce does not present itself then expect Davis to rematch Maxwell for her Raging Wolf title
