Patrick Cote Released from the UFC

After three losses in a row, Patrick “The Predator” Cote has been released by the UFC.  Cote posted on his twitter account,

“I had a little hope but finally got the release word from the UFC .. Its been a awesome experience ! I ll be back !!”

Cote most recent loss was an uninspiring three round decision against Tom Lawlor.  Lawlor took Cote down repeatedly during the fight and Cote could not get off his back.

The former member of the Canadian military began his UFC career with four consecutive losses, the final one coming at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 4 against Travis Lutter.  Cote then reeled off five consecutive wins in the UFC culminating in an ill-fated title shot against Anderson Silva that saw him lose due to a knee injury.

Cote is a top Canadian Middleweight and former TKO and MFC champion who promises to return to the UFC for a third time.  Top MMA News can not wait to see him back in the Octagon.
