W1 Weigh-In Results
W1 held its weighins today to make their October 23 fight card official. Unfortunately several fighters missed weight including headliner Brett Rogers who came in 2.4 pounds heavier than the Heavyweight limit. UPDATE: Brett Rogers made weight on his second attempt after the scale was moved to a harder surface made weight at 265.
Others to miss the weight limits include Ryan Machan and his opponent Matt MacGrath. Roy Boughton, Mychal Clark, Jeff Black, and Michael Imperato also missed weight.
UPDATE: Comment from Ryan Machan – “We were told that the scale at the gym was calibrated to the commission scale and when we got here (weigh-ins), it was two pounds off.”
UPDATE: Todd Henry and Jeremiah Bernard is a 180 lb catchweight. Top MMA News previously reported it was a Welterweight fight when it was a 180 Catchweight. Apologies to Todd and Jeremiah.
(NOTE: Many fighters were claiming that the scale was two pounds off, however the Commission claims the scale is correctly calibrated)

Gross!
Josey vs Axworthy?
that is fucking brutal.
9.2 lbs? Wow.
even if the scale was off two pounds how do they explain the extra 5 pounds …….sad
At 267 lbs., I bet Breast Rogers hooters were looking flabbier than ever.
Actually Rogers looked damn intimidating. Scary.
Nice fella though.
After the weigh INS and the confusion of the scale… The scale was removed from the stage and out on solid ground. Rogers re weighed in and was 265… It seems the give in the stage may have caused alot of the 1-2 pound overages
So did everyone that missed weight get to weigh in a second time?
Don: I’m assuming the 267.4 is the official weigh-in then? Or as BK asked did everyone get to weigh-in again – and if so, which weights are the official weights?
Don Wilson says: is this the real don the dragon fly wilson lol
Josey was so big prior to weigh-ins that the fight was called off.
UPDATE: Comment from Ryan Machan – “We were told that the scale at the gym was calibrated to the commission scale and when we got here (weigh-ins), it was two pounds off.”
wow…
Jeff Black, Michael Imperato, Todd Henry, Jeremiah Bernard and Roy Boughton all have two hours to make weight.
Ryan Machan and Matt MacGrath both agreed to fight at their current weight.
Got no word on Mychal Clark
Hopes this helps
Lastly the one and only Dragon Fly
With Clark he said to me paul lazenby and robin black standing around that he was fine and didnt have to weigh in again
plsu with bernard and henri the fight is at 180
If it indeed a calibration problem , that sucks. If not, shame on these fuckin guys.
Todd Henry made weight it was a catch weight at 180 so get your facts straigt
Todd… we screwed up. Just confirmed that it is 180 CW. My apologies.
People don’t understand the process of calibrating something properly. I don’t know how they calibrated the gym scale with the commision scale but unless some one properly trained (instrument tech) did it then it wasnt calibrated. Also something as simple as kick or solid bump can throw off the calibration if you don’t have a high end scale.
Keith, the Henry/Bernard fight was the only one that the catch-weight wasn’t announced to the crowd prior to the guys stepping to the scale. I also initially thought that Henry was over ww by 9 pounds until I asked the promoter what the contracted weight was supposed to be. Josey was pulled by his manager prior to the weigh-ins after he failed to meet the catch-weight of 200, then also failed to meet a renegotiated weight of 205. If we ever meet in person I’ll tell you about the whole Boughton ordeal…I was at the hotel until 10 pm before EA decided that Ninja would indeed accept the fight. Man there was some crazy stuff going on.
I work at the club and I watched Brett Rogers step on the scale three times. Before the weigh-ins, at the weigh-ins and after. Before and after he was fine. Makes no sense at all.
That commission needs a new scale!
Agreed with them needing a new scale. The last time I saw their scale it looked like it had dinosaur shit on it. There might be thousands of dollars riding on that scale being bang on.
