Jimmo Refuses Teixeira; Dumped from MFC 27 Card

MFC Light-Heavyweight Ryan Jimmo will not be on the MFC 27 card. Jimmo was offered Glover Teixeira for the November 12th card, but apparently refused the opponent. The bout was slated to be a title fight.

In his statement posted on his Facebook wall, Mark Pavelich, president of the MFC states that none of his champions choose who they are going to fight. He states, “Antonio McKee, Roger Hollett, Emanuel Newton – none of them hand-picked who they were going to fight. “hand picked who they were going to fight.”

It is a big loss for the MFC 27 card as Jimmo is the top Light-Heavyweight in the country having won thirteen consecutive fights.

Glover Teixeira, is an exciting fighter, who has won eight fights in a row prior to signing with the MFC – quickly finishing all eight opponents. Teixeira will remain on the MFC 27th card.  His fight will not be a title fight without Jimmo involved.

So, what’s the word with Jimmo anyway – who’s his next opponent. I’ve been looking for a posting on his next fight but nothing……

Maybe BK can answer this one for us. But I don’t think they’re booked anywhere.

I don’t want to wait until Feb to see Jimmo at it again, but I can see Pav setting up a rematch with D-Bomb on the Feb card….Jimmo should win that one by Sub.
