Alessio to Fight Collins for Welterweight Title

By:

John Alessio has agreed to fight Phil Collins for the Tachi Palace Fights Welterweight title on December 2. Alessio is Canada’s number 3 ranked 170 pound fighter.

Alessio is on a five fight win streak with wins over Luigi Fioravanti, Andrew Buckland, and Chris Clements during that streak. Alessio last fought War Machine at Tachi Palace in July and defeated him by a Rear Naked Choke so it makes sense for Alessio to return to fight for the vacant title. The TPF title is currently vacant due to David Mitchell signing with the UFC.

His opponent Phil Collins has fought many times at Tachi Palace and the Palace Fighting Championships. Collins has one his last two fights at TPF and is 9-5 overall.

Also on the card are James Irvin, Micah Miller, Tim McKenzie, and Jorge Oliviera.
