    Dami Egbeyemi vs Nathan Gunn

Good fight for Gunner, I think he takes this. He needs a step down in competition to try to regroup.

  2. How about Keith Jardine vs Ryan Jimmo?

When I check the events list for the Keystone Centre, it says the MB Metis Federation has it booked from Sept 9-12. Is the date still up in the air?

I hear that the city’s divided about having the MFC there and nothing has been confirmed. There’s nothing official on the MFC website either. I like the MFC fights, but I think Mark’s burned too many bridges and his prior dealings are catching up…

  9. Killer Bee says:

Good ol Nathan “Glass Jaw” Gunn will be face down in no time.

  10. Big Jake says:

You will see a whole new Nathan Gunn in his next fight. And for the record, he’s been hit in the jaw once by Spratt that led to a KO…Juarez kicked him on the side of the head. Glass jaw my ass.

Gunner is a solid contender, tough as nails and will dominate in the ring.

  11. David Letourneau says:

not cool killer bee but its your opinion. Nathan worked hard to get to where he is and for that reason he deserves respect. I respect every man women who steps inside the ring/cage and puts it on the line weather its mma or boxing. This is shaping up to be another great card.

So is this card still on in Brandon, or is it off?

  15. CR, Here is what I know as of July 14.

At CFC 5, Mark Pavelich says there next show is in Brandon on Sept 10 and I reported that on the site.
Manitoba Boxing Commission has given MFC a permit for a show on September 10 in Brandon.
Edmonton Commission has given MFC a permit for a show at the Expo Centre in Edmonton on Aug. 27.

  16. Cody Rempel says:

I’m thinking if both of those dates are a go, it would only make sense for Ryan Ford to main event the August show!

  17. CR says:

I can’t see them doing 2 shows in 2 weeks. I’d imagine the Brandon show will get dropped as Edmonton is where he’ll make more money. Too bad, I’d have driven out for that one. But from what I’ve heard, the UFC will be here in Winnipeg next year some time……

Brandon show is a go. http://topmmanews.com/2010/07/14/mfc-officially-unveils-event-in-brandon/

It’s possible – unlikely – but possible that another HeatXC show could be set for August 27 in Edmonton.

i dunno there is no local talent on this card. where are all the local fighters. cant see winnipegers wasting money.

  21. CR says:

From the looks of the card so far, there is some pretty good talent put together. The fighters might not be local, but if the skill level is there, I’d make the drive

  31. Fight Fan says:

Anyone catch MFC’s latest Vlog, where Pavelich insinuates that a “local Winnipeg promoter” is threatening to ban people from the mma promotion, cough…CFC…cough, from Winnipeg who go see the MFC show in Brandon? Kinda funny, whether or not it is true.

  32. Fight Fan, don’t believe everything you hear. I know the CFC would not turn away your business if you went to the MFC.

Me and some buddies were thinking about going to this show, but when you look at the ticket prices, factor in gas and hotel, it’s too much. We’ll save our money, watch it on HD Net, and go to the CFC the next month.
