W1 Signs former Pride Star Hayato “Mach” Sakurai

By:

Don Wilson is on hand in Laval, Quebec tonight for W1: Judgement Day. Top MMA News was informed by W1 Officials that they have signed Pride Veteran Hayato “Mach” Sakurai to their welterweight roster.

Sakurai, a veteran of almost 50 MMA fights will make his W1 debut on the upcoming September fight card taking on fellow Pride and UFC veteran Carlos “The Ronin” Newton. This will be only his third fight on North American soil and his first since a Knockout win over Mac Danzig in 2007.

Great signing, while Sakurai isn’t the same fighter he was a few years back, he’s still hella exciting and talented.

If Newton trains, he wins this fight hands down. When dedicated, he truly is one of the best. Dedication is always a question though.
