Lets Get It Over?

It appears as though Lets Get It On may be finished for 2010.  All tickets for events scheduled for this year are now unavailable at TicketMaster.

After Lets Get It On MMA’s inaugural show at River Cree, the promotion announced the cancellation of their 155 tournament.  At the same time, LGIO announced the cancellation of all their Gatineua-based shows.  Then, LGIO’s June 25th date in River Cree came and went in silence from the company.  Now all tickets for all shows are unavailable.

While Top MMA News has been unable to get in touch with Elaine McCarthy, President of Lets Get It On MMA, as the site was told that the company was re-strategizing.  However, fighters, fans, and this site have seen the writing on the wall for a while.

Fighters such as Andrew Buckland and Ryan McGillivray (both still alive in LGIO’s 170 tournamanet) have not heard a word from LGIO.  In fact, Buckland and McGillivray have moved their rematch to TFC 11 in Edmonton next month.

that is not good at all, to many promotions come and go in Edmonton I guess she might want to start running shows in the states instead.

Really too bad. It’d be nice to have a secure tournament style promotion in Canada.

I am not surprised after seeing what happened to them in Quebec.

Anyone know how their ticket sales were at their last River Cree show?

I was at LGIO 1 and there was a pretty decent crowd… close to sold out I think!
