Bellator 21 Results – Curran to Face Alvarez for Title

Last night was the finals of the Bellator Lightweight tournament as Pat Curran took on Toby Imada.  Last year, Imada lost to Alvarez in the tournament finale.  This year was more of the same as Imada lost a split decision to Curran. Curran was a definite underdog in the tournament. He took out the heavily favoured Roger Huerta and Canada’s Mike Ricci on his way to the tournament win.

In other action, Megumi Fuji stayed unbeaten as the Japanese star beat an overmatched Sarah Schneider.

Here are the results from last night:

Brian Eckstein defeats Mitchell Chamale by Unanimous Decision
Moyses Gabin submits Chris Boffil by Rear Naked Choke in Round 1, 4:41
Mike Hayes defeats Steven Banks by Unanimous Decision
Megumi Fujii defeats Sarah Schneider by TKO (Punches) in Round 3, 1:58
Pat Curran defeats Toby Imada by Split Decision
Frank Carrillo defeats Sabah Homasi by TKO (Elbows) in Round 3, 3:16
Zach Makovsky submits Eric Luke by Kimura in Round 2, 4:28
Luis Palomino defeats Jose Figueroa by Unanimous Decision
